Each year, the President of the United States issues a proclamation announcing July 27th as a day of national observance in honor of Korean War Veterans and their families.
"We have staked the whole future of our new nation, not upon the power of government; far from it. We have staked the future of all our political constitutions upon the capacity of each of ourselves to govern ourselves according to the moral principals of the Ten Commandments of God."
On the battlefield, the military pledges to leave no soldier behind. As a
Nation, let it be our pledge that when they return home, we leave no
veteran behind.
